The Covid-19 is a pandemic that was under Gods own plan as detailed in the bible under the book of Revelation, it is an outpouring of Gods wrath on mankind who are born as sinners. The bible says 'Behold, I was shapen in iniquity; and in sin did my mother conceive me' (Psalm 51:5) This means that those who are born without repenting will be condemned to hell because our sins are seen as a stain to God and only Jesus can cleanse us from our sins which is why he had to come here as a sacrificial lamb on earth. This article explains what sin is and how to repent.
The bible explains that the only way we can be redeemed is through the confession of our sins through Jesus christ. 'Jesus answered, “I am the way and the truth and the life. No one comes to the Father (God) except through me." (John 14:16)
The prophesies of revelation are becoming known right in front of our eyes. Following are passages from the bible entailing the end times:
'I looked, and there before me was a pale horse! Its rider was named Death, and Hades was following close behind him. They were given power over a fourth of the earth to kill by sword, famine and plague, and by the wild beasts of the earth' (Revelation 6:8)
'For nation shall rise against nation, and kingdom against kingdom: and there shall be famines, and pestilences, and earthquakes, in divers places.' (Matthew 24:7)
'But mark this: There will be terrible times in the last days. People will be lovers of themselves, lovers of money, boastful, proud, abusive, disobedient to their parents, ungrateful, unholy, without love, unforgiving, slanderous, without self-control, brutal, not lovers of the good, treacherous, rash, conceited, lovers of pleasure rather than lovers of God— having a form of godliness but denying its power. Have nothing to do with such people. (2 Timothy 3:1-2)
It is clear we are living in the end times, and these are the last days in which the bible was speaking of.
Right now, time is short.
Jesus tells us however:
"When these things begin to take place, stand up and lift up your heads, because your redemption is drawing near." (Luke 21:28)
Make your decision to Christ before it is too late.
The following information reveals what it means to be Christian and the steps you can take to become to follow Jesus Christ and be given the Eternal Salvation promised.
US AS SINNERS, AND WHY WE SIN..
Everyone is born sinner. When we choose to do things such as steal, lie, act in rebelliousness and disobedience, this means that we are committing acts of sin. God never created us to be sinners but to be pure as his is own family since the beginning of creation- His first being Adam and Eve. However these two were put under temptation of satan and they ate the forbidden fruit which was the first sin ever committed. The earth then after was put under a curse and now we all live under this curse. Satan had deceived them and he is the ruler of this earth and is considered the 'father of all lies'. We now live under the curse of their actions for being lead into that temptation. We are descendants of Gods very first creations. (Most of who had lived for hundreds of years). Satan was a angel who rebelled against god after becoming full of pride and attempted to even overthrow god himself. Afterwards he was cast down from heaven to earth and now is the ruler of this planet. The reasons for our sufferings are based on his tactics to manipulate our minds and lead us away from God, ultimately leading to to our own condemnation- Hell. A war of the mind? That is just what it is. The scripture says 'For we do not wrestle against flesh and blood, but against principalities, against powers, against the rulers of the darkness of this age, against spiritual hosts of wickedness in the heavenly places.' (Ephesians 6:2) Only God can fight our battles though. The bible states that 'The LORD will fight for you; you need only to be still.' ( Exodus 14:14). As Christian's (living Christ-like)
We humble ourselves in God to live holy lives, and the bible helps to transform our minds from the sinners mindset to the godly mindset. God says 'If you belonged to the world, it would love you as its own. As it is, you do not belong to the world, but I have chosen you out of the world. That is why the world hates you .' (John 15:19) He also says 'Do not love the world or anything in the world. If anyone loves the world, love for the Father is not in them.' (1 John 2:15) Sound familiar? (Love of money, fame and self leading to selfishness and idolatry. What a mess!) When we accept Jesus Christ, we learn to follow his footsteps and humble ourselves as he did, whilst submitting ourselves to God rather than following our own freshly desires. 'For the flesh desires what is contrary to the Spirit, and the Spirit what is contrary to the flesh. They are in conflict with each other, so that you are not to do whatever you want.' (Galatians 5:17)
God knew about the tempter (Satan) leading us astray and our predicament, so and so he planned to send his only son Jesus Christ who could break the chains of that curse and set us free. He died on the cross to become sin itself and bear the wrath which was stored for our sins. To be free of sin, we have to make a choice to accept Jesus as lord and savior in our hearts and lives and to be made right with God. This helps to redeem us back to him because God is pure, and we are promised heavenly bodies when we die and eternal life but we can only do this through Jesus because after his death and resurrection he became our high priest. This is why we can only pray to god through the name of Jesus Christ. He himself has said 'I am the way and the truth and the life. No one comes to the father except through me.' The fact is, God is so pure that no human could see his face without dying. God himself had said to Moses “you cannot see my face, for no one may see me and live.” (Exodus 33:20)
JESUS, THE ULTIMATE SACRAFICE
Before Jesus came here on earth for the gruesome crucifixion, whenever somebody had sinned, an animal sacrafice had to be made for each sin that was committed such as a lamb or turtledove to a priest, officially known as a Levite. (One of the twelve tribes of Israel) However when dying, the man or woman would still go to hell where there were two compartments- One compartment for those who had offered the sacrifices which was known as paradise, and the other for those who had not offered them and were thus eternally condemned without redemption for not doing so. However, no matter how many animal sacrifices anyone made, nothing could cleanse the sinful soul of man nor bring him back to god. So Jesus being the son of god came down as human through the virgin Mary with the Holy Spirit in her to become the ULTIMATE sacrifice known as the 'Lamb Of God' that was so holy our entire souls could be once and for all cleansed. This would end the entire era of sacrifices and bring forth a new era by gods grace and mercy. Jesus through his death and resurrection became the ultimate holy high priest for us. Now we are able to communicate to God just by praying in his name. 'If you declare with your mouth, "Jesus is Lord," and believe in your heart that God raised him from the dead, you will be saved.' (Roman's 10:19) Through confessing our sins to him, our sinful past and behavior is put behind us and we are washed clean by the blood of the holy lamb, finally being redeemed back to god's own family and we are able to rekindle with our creator, clothed in righteousness. God says 'For I will be merciful to their iniquities, And their sins will I remember no more.' (Hebrews 8:12) If we had not had sin in the world, Christ would have never died on the cross. His crucification was lead on by jealousy of the religious leaders in his time and so we see how sin had corrupted their minds and lead this innocent mans to death. This is reflected heavily in our society on a daily basis and it is clear how we all need a Savior..
WHAT SIN LEADS TO, AND WHY WE NEED TO REPENT
When we accept Christ, we are made pure and so we are then considered to be part of the family of God. The consequence if we do not repent is being cast is the eternal flames of hell because we have chosen to remain sinners. There is only good and evil and if a sinner has chosen evil they are listening to satan and eventually will be cut off from God into eternal damnation, along with the tempter (Satan) which hell was originally intended for. A description is made as follows: “His winnowing fork is in his hand, and he will clear his threshing floor and gather and store his wheat into the barn, but the chaff he will burn with unquenchable fire” (Matthew 3:12) Confessing our sins and being repentant makes us born again through the breaking of our sinful chains. It also gives us a sense of freedom and happiness like never before and we are then made pure and holy.
BEING BORN AGAIN
When we are born again we are born in spirit, not flesh and blood- 'Jesus answered, "Very truly I tell you, no one can enter the kingdom of God unless they are born of water and the Spirit' (John 3:5) This symbolizes a renewal of us as righteous children of God. ''Therefore if anyone is in Christ, the new creation has come: The old has gone, the new is here!' (2 Corinthians 5:17) As a result of being born again we now leave our past behind and our chains to darkness are cut. We are purged by the precious blood of Jesus and are made completely new. This allows us a second chance. God says the past self does not please him because it was sinful. Our minds were once corrupted but now seeks renewal and this is done through reading the bible and prayer. In addition we receive the Holy Spirit which is part of Gods very own spirit which guides us into living clean and righteous lives.
WE ARE BAPTIZED AFTERWARDS
Baptism is a proclamation of being born again and symbolizes the birth of water in the quote earlier stated. Being baptized does not mean that we are just becoming born again, but it a public declaration that we have now committed to Jesus and given our lives to him. This can also help to bring others repentance. Jesus says 'No one lights a lamp and hides it in a clay jar or puts it under a bed. Instead, they put it on a stand, so that those who come in can see the light.' (Luke 8:16) and also states “Go into all the world and preach the Good News to everyone.' (Mark 16:5) As a result of proclaiming Jesus' name as savior, and the light of God shining from us, others who are lost in the darkness can also be brought to see that light of salvation which Christ brings. Jesus urges the importance of being baptised so this is an important step of our discipleship to him as he himself mentions 'Go therefore and make disciples of all nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father and of the Son and of the Holy Spirit' (Matthew 28:19)
God says this is not a battle of flesh and blood but a spiritual battle. This battle is fought by god and not by us. So we rely on his promises that keep us protected. Satan is an enemy of God, he as an angel tried to overthrow God because of his pride and so was immediately cast down from heaven to earth and now reigns here and tries to torment us in our minds relentlessly. God knows of this and because this is a spiritual battle, only he can protect and fight for us. The bible calls for us to do the following: 'Therefore put on the full armor of God, so that when the day of evil comes, you may be able to stand your ground, and after you have done everything, to stand. Stand firm then, with the belt of truth buckled around your waist, with the breastplate of righteousness in place, and with your feet fitted with the readiness that comes from the gospel of peace. In addition to all this, take up the shield of faith, with which you can extinguish all the flaming arrows of the evil one. Take the helmet of salvation and the sword of the Spirit, which is the word of God. god' to withstand his 'flaming arrows'.' (Ephesians 6:13-18) We are also protected by a number of promises he gives in the bible such as the following: 'He gives strength to the weary and increases the power of the weak.' (Isaiah 40:29) But we must also have faith to let him do this as well as through prayer.
The bible also helps us to transform our minds. God says 'I have chosen you out of the world. That is why the world hates you.' (John 15:19) We are called out of the world to be Holy instead of worldly, we are called to draw on the bible for what god calls the transformation of our minds. 'Do not conform to the pattern of this world, but be transformed by the renewing of your mind. 'Then you will be able to test and approve what God's will is--his good, pleasing and perfect will.' (Romans 12:2) The world is attached to money, materialism etc which produces sinful minds. Through this transformation in which God speaks of, the darkness in our minds which makes us greedy, selfish and sinful now allows us to become selflessness and love everyone (even our neighbours and enemies). How is that you say? How can that be possible? It is through the the spirit of God (The Holy Spirit). The bible explains this: 'But the fruit of the Spirit is love, joy, peace, forbearance, kindness, goodness, faithfulness, gentleness and self-control. Against such things there is no law.' (Galatians 5:22-23) Through the holy spirit in us, we now are able to become what we were always meant to be- Holy and righteous. How else could we belong to God otherwise?
God says to pray in request and he will grant whatever is needed. Prayer is our way of communicating to God and he is able to strengthen us and teach and guide us as we assemble our faith on the path to follow Christ (Making us a Chris-tian). When praying we must do so through solely through the name of Jesus Christ.
REVELATION AND HOW IT RELATES TO WHERE WE ARE NOW
Covid-19 is no coincidence. The book of Revelation (The very last chapter in the bible) entails that there will be a pandemic
'I looked, and there before me was a pale horse! Its rider was named Death, and Hades was following close behind him. They were given power over a fourth of the earth to kill by sword, famine and plague, and by the wild beasts of the earth' (Revelation 6:8) This is described as the 'birth pains' of the last days before satan and all those who have not repented of their sins will be forever cast into the fiery flames of hell. More prophesies include: 'For nation shall rise against nation, and kingdom against kingdom: and there shall be famines, and pestilences, and earthquakes, in divers places.' (Matthew 24:7) The bible also makes the statement "People will be lovers of themselves, lovers of money, boastful, proud, abusive, disobedient to their parents, ungrateful, unholy," (2 Timothy 3:2) all this in which we see in today's society..
All this written must come to pass says the Lord. Though we see all of these signs in front of our very eyes, the worst is to come. The bible speaks of the beast (Satan) and describes the future events to come.. 'It also forced all people, great and small, rich and poor, free and slave, to receive a mark on their right hands or on their foreheads, so that they could not buy or sell unless they had the mark, which is the name of the beast or the number of its name. This calls for wisdom. Let the person who has insight calculate the number of the beast, for it is the number of a man. That number is 666'. (Matthew 13:11-18) It is explained that those who take the mark will have sealed their fate and be condemned to hell. We can speculate a number of things when we consider the kinds of technologies that are currently being introduced, and must also remember these prophecies were written around 2000 years ago- It is getting clearer that there is not much time left..
GODS PROMISE AND OUR RESPONSIBILITY AS CHRISTIANS
After all prophesies in the bible have reached fulfillment, those who have accepted Christ are given eternal life after death in this vessel which was brought about by the curse on earth. Our aim is to please god by doing what is righteous. We are to be diligent in striving to become more and more fruitful. Jesus says “I am the vine; you are the branches. If you remain in me and I in you, you will bear much fruit; apart from me you can do nothing. If you do not remain in me, you are like a branch that is thrown away and withers; such branches are picked up, thrown into the fire and burned.' (John 15:5-6) So we must always take care to bear good fruit. If we do sin we must ask for forgiveness. The bible also states 'If we claim to be without sin, we deceive ourselves and the truth is not in us' (1 John 1:8) Yet god only asks that we try our best to do what is right. In return we receive an eternal life brought upon by the salvation of our lord and savior Jesus Christ! God has said we will be made priests and teachers and will be put into brand new bodies and minds that are made perfect. And so our torture we go through here will not last forever. Hallelujah! Every day we are susceptible to sinning and so we must pray for forgiveness of our sins through the blood of Jesus christ daily because as Christians we are still at risk of sinning.
CHOOSING A CHURCH
The bible warns very much of false prophets that will mislead people. There are churches which promote sin such as LGBT. God has warned against teaching with these principles as a tickling of the ears. 'The time will come when people will not put up with sound doctrine. Instead, to suit their own desires, they will gather around them a great number of teachers to say what their itching ears want to hear.' (2 Timothy 4:3) 'And then, instead of worshiping the glorious, ever-living God, they took wood and stone and made idols for themselves, carving them to look like mere birds and animals and snakes and puny men.' (Romans 1:23) God has stated that our continuous sinful nature lead us to have depraved minds as the scripture follows saying 'That is why God let go of them and let them do all these evil things, so that even their women turned against God’s natural plan for them and indulged in sex sin with each other.' (Romans 1:26)
Other churches would say that a pastor can get you into heaven through paying or speak of purgatory, none of which
had been spoken of in the bible. So we must be very weary of the teachings as there are risks involved.
Whilst there are many church denominations, a traditional Bible Teaching church can be recommended alongside with Protestant, Methodist, Baptist and Evangelist which preserve biblical teachings and 'sound doctrine'.
Remember God loves everyone, but he hates sin! Christianity is the way of love but without the idea of sin tainting us. Overall we can begin bear plentiful fruit for God the moment we accept Jesus Christ as lord and saviour.
Jesus spoke saying “I am the way and the truth and the life. No one comes to the Father except through me.' (John 14:16) Jesus is the only way because he is the son of God. We must be obedient to him and follow the teachings of the bible for us to work this transformation of our minds. As we get stronger, our lights shine brighter. Jesus himself says "No one lights a lamp and puts it in a place where it will be hidden, or under a bowl. Instead they put it on its stand, so that those who come in may see the light.'Luke 11:33
IS THERE A PARTICULAR BIBLE I NEED?
The bible has many translations and the majority are closely accurate to one another. Gods Word has even given a statement 'warn everyone who hears the words of the prophecy of this book: if anyone adds to them, God will add to him the plagues described in this book, and if anyone takes away from the words of the book of this prophecy, God will take away his share in the tree of life and in the holy city, which are described in this book' (Revelation 22:18-19)
For the sake of ease, it is worth mentioning that the King James Version (KJV) can be hard to understand and even be seen as outdated. The living bible is an useful translation of the KJV and makes for much better understanding for us who live in the modern age. Other popular versions are Am , New International etc. The common English is good for starters.
My fellow neighbours repent now before it is too late! Time is growing very short, and we urge you to accept Christ as your Lord and Savior now...seek a church near you.
